be two of you in two places, each would progress living from there like two
separate people.

Self-awareness is imprinted in the brain.

Technically 'you' would be in two places at the same time, but neither of
the replicants would experience what the other is experiencing, nor would
they be aware of each other.

No.  There could be a thousand of you, all with the same brain and each with
self-awareness.  Each would be a copy of the original host.  From the point
of replication each has their own self-awareness but it's a copy of the
self-awareness from the point of replication.

What I mean by 'original self awareness'is the
being that sees the world through 'my' eyes, my inner self. 
The part of me that is aware of itself as an individual. 

That's imprinted in the brain, and when the brain is copied , that gets
copied with it.

So the old 'me', that spark inside,
the thing that processes this living experience
gathered through the body's sensory input, 
seasons it with emotion, and reflects
upon these memories, compairing and analyzing them ,
to gain wisdom....

Nope, all of that is imprinted in the brain.  There'd just be multiples of
you -- each with it's copy of your original self-awareness.  

They can also manufacuture the body
of a deceased person and recreate them -- they're an exact replica of the
living person, memories intact.

Again, would the reconstituted person have the same Id, ego, self
awareness of the old dead person ?

Yes, the replicant begins with the self-awareness of the host. The replicant
is an exact copy of the deceased person, and can be replicated from any
point in their life -- as a child, and adult, whatever time period.  

The aliens have a 'computer' (for lack of a better word) which stores this
information for replication.  I do know that the aliens do not store the
information for everyone on Earth, only certain ones.  I'm in their
computer, they have my imprint from all stages of my life.  A life
recording, so to speak.  They can replicate me at any point in my life that
they want.  And they can also give me a different body with the brain
imprint from another stage in my life -- like they could replicate me with
the body of a 21 year old, but the brain of me at 85.
