TEHRAN, Iran -- Iran's best-known female dancer and 24 of her students
have been detained on charges of dancing in public -- for an
all-female audience, her husband said Thursday.

Although there are no written laws against dancing, Iran's hard-line
clerics have banned the activity, which they consider a promotion of
moral corruption.

.......... the students were freed Thursday after signing statements
pledging not to perform again but Kaboli was taken to Evin Prison,
north of Tehran.

God Bless America and other good democratic countries !!

I doubt God is blessing the US right now................

How good IS America when its people are asleep while their leaders do this:

The American tax payer has the receipts and debt for the weapons of mass
destruction they dropped on Iraq. And every defense contractor in the US
profited by it, including Dick Cheney made a profit:

Iraq has the world’s second largest proven oil reserves. According to oil
industry experts, new exploration will probably raise Iraq’s reserves to
2-300 billion barrels of high-grade crude, extraordinarily cheap to produce,
leading to a gold-rush of profits for international oil firms in a
post-Saddam setting. The four giant firms located in the US and the UK have
been keen to get back into Iraq, from which they were excluded with the
nationalization of 1972. They face companies from France, Russia, China,
Japan and elsewhere, who already have major concessions. But in a post-war
military governments, imposed by Washington, the US-UK companies expect to
overcome their rivals and gain the most lucrative oil deals that will be
worth hundreds of billions, even trillions of dollars in profits in the
coming decades.

But the need to dominate oil from Iraq is also deeply intertwined with the
defense of the dollar. Its current strength is supported by OPEC's
requirement (secured by a secret agreement between the US and Saudi Arabia)
that all OPEC oil sales be denominated in dollars. This requirement is
currently threatened by the desire of some OPEC countries to allow OPEC oil
sales to be paid in euros.

-----------------

And the US tax payers paid for the folks above to make huge personal profits
by creating a war in Iraq. George Bush and his oil pals concocted the 9-11
events, attacked the US and then told the American public they had to 'get'
Bin Laden. That was the original excuse to go to war with Iraq, then Bush
changed the story to weapons of mass destruction -- no weapons of mass
destruction were ever found in Iraq. And Bin Laden is no where to be found
which is no surprise because Laden and Bush are and still are business
partners through a company called Carlyle.

How much it cost the taxpayers of the USA:

And last but not least, the real tragedy of war:
innocent death:
