Sad News about UFOWisconsin:


We have come to a very difficult decision which we have thought
seriously about for several months. Effective February 1, 2004, we
will no longer be running UFOWisconsin. We are very proud of the
success we have had with UFOWisconsin, with hundreds of people
submitting their reports to us, thousands of people visiting the site
daily, top results in every search engine, and the newspaper/media
popularity of the site. However, we have decided to move on to other
ventures.

We would like to take this time to thank the following people:


Jim Aho, for giving us the initial 72 files to launch this website,
and for his support throughout the years,

Bill Burt, for designing many of our graphics,

Kevin Sturgis, for taking photographs at some of our events,

Heidi Hollis and the members of The Lightside, for their continued
support of us and UFOWisconsin,

Krista Soloski, for her constant support,

Every individual who has submitted a UFO report to us,

Every individual who has attended one of our meetings or get
togethers,

And countless others, too many to name, who have visited the site or
helped out in ways too numerous to mention.
 
In the event that someone would be interested in continuing on with
the website please contact me. I can get the actual monthly stats if
anyone is interested, but suffice it to say we get several thousand
unique visitors a day, utilizing approximately 5-6 gigs of bandwidth
per month. The domain fees are paid until August for ufowisconsin.com,
ufowisconsin.net, and ufowisconsin.org. The hosting we use is fairly
inexpensive, and if you kept the same hosting company it would not be
necessary to edit any of the forms on the site. There are currently
over 1200 pages on UFOWisconsin, with categories such as UFO Reports
(by date and by county), UFO News, UFO hangouts & groups, UFO
education, UFO library, Photo & Video Gallery, SkyWatch, a new
discussion forum, and many other categories. If you know anything
about html, the site code was hand written by me using current html
4.0 codes and it does validate. Feel free to email me at:

On a more fun note, we will be having a final UFO meeting / farewell
party on Saturday, January 31st at our home in Sheboygan. We will
cater with pizza and soda. So just bring a hearty appetite for
conversation, an appetizer if you wish, and join us for one final
major ufo get - together!
