Not seriously, no. But in order to keep us confused, they do post
agitprop. They pretend to be "believers" at first, and then proceed to
get extremely weird and outlandish about it. They do this to make
everyone think all believers have a screw loose.

The government does this too, but they're not aware the aliens are
doing it.
