Do you guy's want to know why the real world thinks
you and those like you are nuts?
Hey, sparky, the REAL world of science knows the earth and it's inhabitants
are in DEEP shit. The problem is people don't know anything about science
and the discoveries which have been made about our ecosystem -- which is
DYING as we speak.
We live in a world of rampant consumerism aka CONSUMING everything we can
get our greedy little hands on with out though what so ever to what it all
means. Television pushes buy this and buy that. Bigger and better cars,
more, more, more. Status and self-worth have become how much money a person
makes and how many people know their names.
It's a totally materialistic world -- and while people blithely go about
gratifying their fragile egos, the life on this planet is silently dying.
But eon't look for this news on the TV -- because they're in business to
sell you shit, not save what's left of earth so the future generations can
live.
<end rant>
no one is arguing about the GREED problem. But it is the 'keeping up with
the Joneses'mentallity and OUTDOING the Joneses nowadays. The biggest
problem is credit cards and living above your means. Everyone wants the
newest toys and those pushing it do it for profit. But it's up to the
individuals to say 'enough'. It is not a 'social' problem but a 'gotta
have it at all cost' problem of individuals who want more and more. One
can't blame those who want to cash in on it. They just want more
money. It's up to the next generation to put a stop to it by not buying
into the consumerism agenda.
You realize there's no remedy to the situation as it exists on earth now.
So there's no point in discussing it.
