Unfortunately, that could very well be true, in a manor of 'speaking'.

What I have observed is a growing % of apathy in people.
I think the apathy grows from individual feelings of helplessness
when facing world problems. Since you can't personally change
the larger problems, you ignore them. Fuck it, why worry yourself
over something that is out of your hands ?

If you try it, you'll find it works very well. Almost too well.

In the end I think the epitaph should be "We Died From Apathy"
