Humanity's epitaph will be "We Died From Greed"

Unfortunately, that could very well be true, in a manor of 'speaking'.

What I have observed is a growing % of apathy in people.
I think the apathy grows from individual feelings of helplessness
when facing world problems.

Definitely. Knowing this planet has really serious problems -- and not
what's on the nightly news. I look around me every day, and marvel at the
pristine beauty of life on this planet and know that it will all be gone in
the near future. I've lived so long with this thought, and the sadness,
that I find apathy to be a relief, as well as self-absorption. Perhaps
that's why Bush and company don't care -- it's like the world is in a free
for all, grabbing as much as they can before it's too late. I used to cry
for the lost of our humanity, now I'm just numb. But it's a deep hurt.

Since you can't personally change
the larger problems, you ignore them. Fuck it, why worry yourself
over something that is out of your hands ?

I find I don't worry and no longer feel responsible, but I just hate unhappy
endings. ;)

If you try it, you'll find it works very well. Almost too well.

It must be a testosterone thing, a way men handle the magnitude of it all.

In the end I think the epitaph should be "We Died From Apathy"

We just didn't give a fuck.

Oh I think some people care, but knowing they are powerless which makes them
lose their humanity.

We didn't give a fuck about the things we should have given
a fuck about.

Ahh what ta fuck. Now my apathy is showing.

Sad, but true, apathy abounds in these NGs.

I can't blame you really, it's sad though.
