I stated that the prongs appear to be worn as they are much rounded
off at their ends. I do not know what material the prongs are made of.
If the prongs are made of a very hard metal, they will wear much less
than the rock around them. I have a steel hand pick that I have used
for decades to cut through hard rock. While my hand pick has busted
and pulverized about a ton of rock over the years, including granite,
it is still in good condition with not a lot of wear. Since the base
material of the manmade-like connector is of rock or some ceramic like
material, it probably is capable of withstanding tremendous heat. The
connector-like component could have been accidentally dropped into the
rock when it was still in a molten state by an alien or member of a
lost advanced civilization many millions of years ago. If the
component is modern manmade, certainly someone should have by now
identified it my its make and model/part #. Can you?
Thanks, John Williams

If the rock is granite, as you say, there's no way the metal pins
could have survived the temperature and pressure. Read up on what it
takes to create an igneous rock.
It was embedded into the rock at some time after the rock's creation.
