| Well Tim, even before Apollo, A leading scientist at NASA, Dr.
| Gordon McDonald published a report in the Astronautics Magazine,
| July 1962.

Yes, that's what the conspiracy theory web sites say. Right next to the
paragraphs where they talk about astronauts reporting flying saucers. It's
"Astronautics" magazine, not "Astronautics Magazine", and McDonald's
findings were simply that the outer portion appeared denser than the inner
portion, *not* that there was a gaping hole in the center of the moon. To
quote his findings, "...it is found that the data require that the interior
of the Moon be less dense than the outer parts." He said that it bore a
greater *resemblance* to a hollow sphere than a homogenously dense sphere,
as had been previously theorized.

The leap from resemblance to an assertively "hollow" sphere was made by Don
Wilson, author of "Our Mysterious Spaceship Moon", one of the most
ridiculous and ignorant books written on the subject of lunar exploration.

| John Glen later said said...

John Glenn is a pilot, not an astrophysicist or planetary geologist. He was
never anywhere near the moon.

| Then they did the seismic with Apollo XII and arrived at that
| conclusion.

No such findings are found in the Apollo 12 mission reports. Don Wilson
simply makes up whatever he needs and attributes it to NASA, knowing that no
one will likely research it. Take, for example, his liberally-edited
"quotations" from the mission transcripts.

| Then they ran into something strange, some say they were warned
| off, and never spoke of it again.

So say the conspiracy theorist web sites.

Nothing from NASA says the moon is hollow. Get over it.
