When will the US government reveal what it knows about
extraterrestrials?  Roswell, flying saucers, hint, hint.

I suspect the US government is hush hush about extraterrestrials to
avoid public panic.  Not sure how the public would react to the
exposure of extraterrestrials it pays close attention to the success
of the 1982 Spielberg movie "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial."  The movie
makes "extraterrestrial" a household name and wins over the hearts of
fans.
