#2. President Ronald Wilson Reagan 1911-2004 (By Neal McLaughlin - WOTS Staff Writer)
UFOlogy in Mourning...
Silence fills the ranks of Ufology today as we mourn the loss of Ronald Wilson Reagan, 93,our fortieth president and UFO advocate. On Saturday, 5 June 2004, Mr. Reagan succumbed to complications of Alzheimer's disease. Shortly after 3 p.m. (EST) former First Lady Nancy Reagan released to the media that her husbands’ health had deteriorated and that he had maybe hours, maybe days. At 4 p.m. (EST) the former president of the United States lost his long-fought battle with Alzheimer's.
Mr. Reagan, former actor, governor and a believer in the UFO phenomena, an open target for tabloids, was often sneered and scoffed at for his usage of astrologers during his presidency. However, the opinions of his constituents and peers did little in the way of discouraging him from speaking freely about his beliefs and ideas.
President Reagan often pondered the possibility of an extraterrestrial attack and how we needed to be prepared for just such a day. He even discussed this possibility with former Russian General Secretary Gorbachev. During a summit with Mr. Gorbachev, President Reagan remarked how both countries would need to pull together in the event that such an attack occurs. Unlike the Cold-War relationship between the Communist and the Democratic State, we would need to set aside our social differences as this third adversary was now brought into the picture.
It is suggested by some that this was the ideology behind he Star Wars program. To have a defensive weapon in space which, in case of an alien attack, could neutralize the threat quickly and efficiently before actually entering the earth's atmosphere. (For additional details on the aforementioned and other related UFO facts: The Day after Roswell, by Colonel Philip J. Corso (Ret.))
Did Mr. Reagan’s views of UFOs and the possibility of alien warfare stem from the potentials established during a briefing of the Roswell incident of 1947, or did he have the foresight to see the day when this world would have to defend itself from an enemy so alien that all of the nations of one world would have to unite if only to keep our presence here secured?

Sidebar: Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Regan have UFO sighting.
On the Steve Allen radio show, it was once disclosed that before becoming the governor of California in 1967,Ron and Nancy, on their way to a Hollywood dinner party arrived at the affair visibly shaken and thirty minutes late.
According Mr. Allen, he had been confide in years earlier by a well-known entertainment personality that the cause of the Reagan's tardiness was due to a UFO sighting while driving down the coast.
Mr. Allen has never disclosed additional details regarding the sighting.

#3. UFOlogists Take Heed (by Claude DiDomenica)
Do Not Become Complacent!
There have been many false alarms about "disclosure" over the years. I chalk this up to the zeal of pro-disclosure advocates in creating their marketing and public relations campaigns.
There is nothing inherently wrong with using the media to get one's point across, assuming certain boundaries are not crossed. What the pro-disclosure advocates did in the early days of the disclosure movement has planted the seeds of where we are today.
The downside to the early zeal is complacency, on the part of the mainstay UFOlogists. They probably view the Mexico event as of late, as just another in the series of things that will blow over and fade away. But will it?

#4. High Technology in the Bible (By Doug Yurchey)
There are readers out there who would be surprised or offended with the notion that high-technology was described in the Bible. There are other readers who have realized that the only explanations to Biblical mysteries are ancient Close Encounters. A good question is: Why are certain, Old Testament events written about in the Bible? The answer could be that these were special events between basically two groups of people: One group was the primitives or the general state of humanity in Biblical times. The other group was the relatively few HUMANS that still retained and utilized technology originating from the days of Atlantis.
When angels made an appearance, they were always human. Those who caused the Great Flood; gave Moses the instructions on building the Ark of the Covenant; and warned Lot then destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah...were human beings. But, these people had advanced knowledge and flew 'chariots' in the sky. They resided on the tops of mountains; well away from the simple world of Bible prophets in the lowlands.

#5. Stalked By a Demon (by Tonja Earles)
This paranormal event happened during the Christmas season around 1991. It was just a few days before Christmas, and I had some last minute Christmas shopping to do. My husband was at home with our three small children; working full time and being a full time mom, this was a rare chance to get out and have some time to myself. It was dusk, and the weather was overcast and chilly. I entered the store with a real Christmas spirit - I could now take time to look for gifts for extended family members and my husband.
I browsed here and there, looking at this gift item and that gift item. Looking down at my ragged purse, I realized that perhaps I should splurge and buy myself a new purse. In the accessories aisle there were many purses to choose from, and I decided that since I was there to shop, may as well by myself a new purse.

#6. Thanks To Debunkers (by Leah A. Haley)
In 1997 a friend told me to read the February 1997 edition of the MUFON UFO Journal. It contained a letter to the editor ("MILAB Misdemeanor," 19), in which Victoria Alexander had attacked Dr. Helmut Lammer. Lammer's article, "Preliminary Findings of Project MILAB: Evidence for Military Kidnappings of Alleged UFO Abductees," had appeared on page 3 in the December 1996 edition of the journal.
Alexander's letter ended with the question, "When will someone separate the sexually repressed fantasies of lonely women from the abduction genre and sort out what belongs in therapy and what belongs in the MUFON Journal?" Alexander was denigrating a credible military abductee, whose case had been carefully studied, documented, and corroborated.

#7. Mexican Monster (by Chris)
This incident happened before I had the capacity to retain thought, circa 1990 when I was three years of age. Despite the fact that I was too young to remember what happened, my mother had kept the memory fresh in my mind every time that we would get on the subject (which was practically once a a month, since it took place during an eventful family vacation).
My parents, my one aunt and one uncle and I, of course, were on our way to visit my grandparents who lived in the heart of Chihuahua, Mexico in a small (when I say say small, I mean it) town called Tres Castillos. The drive over there, according to my mother, went well until we began to leave the Sierra Madre mountain range and enter a vast land of rolling hills and cattle grazing grounds. That's when she said she saw "it."

#9. Complete Sighting Report of Kenneth Arnold (By: Bruce Maccabee)
Summaries of Arnold's sighting report have been published in a number of books (1,2,3,4,6,6,7,8,9) including his own (10). Unfortunately these books leave out some of the details that must be known in order to properly evaluate (and reject!) the explanations that have been proposed. I, too, do not have space to reproduce his sighting report (11) verbatim. However, I will present most of the information so that the reader will have a good understanding of what happened.
According to Mr. Arnold, at 2:00 PM, June 24, 1947 he took off from Chehalis, in the state of Washington, in his small plane after completing a business trip (he sold and installed fire fighting equipment). He planned to spend about an hour searching for a lost C46 Marine transport plane that had crashed in the mountains west-southwest of Mt. Rainier. (There was a $5,000 reward for finding the plane.) After searching for about an hour and not finding anything he turned east toward his next destination, Yakima, Washington. He was near Mineral, Washington, about 22 miles west-southwest of Mt. Rainier and Yakima was about 80 miles ahead of him along a flight path that would take him just about 12 miles south of peak of Mt. Rainier. He leveled out onto his new flight path he was at approximately a 9,200 ft altitude. His sighting began within a minute or two of the turn. Sentences and paragraphs taken from his Air Force letter (11) are preceded by (L) and statements from his book (10) are preceded by (B). As you read the following story please keep in mind that this is history. It actually happened!

#10. Did A Verneshot See Off The Dinosaurs? (By John von Radowitz, Science Correspondent)
The dinosaurs might not have been the victims of a giant asteroid after all.
They could have been blown out of existence by an almighty underground explosion with the energy of seven million atom bombs, according to a new theory.
A team of scientists claims the Earth-shaking blast, called a Verneshot, is the best explanation for why the dinosaurs were wiped out 65 million years ago.
Most experts believe the extinction was caused by a huge asteroid or comet that smashed into the Earth off the coast of Mexico.

#11. The Big Lab Experiment (By Jim Holt)
Was our universe created? That is, was it brought into being by an entity with a mind? This is a question I began pondering after my recent inquiry into the end of the universe. (For some reason, cosmic mysteries are best contemplated in pairs.) It is the fundamental issue that separates religious believers, ranging from Deists to Gnostics to Southern Baptists, from nonbelievers. To many atheists, the very idea that our world could have been created by a conscious being seems downright nutty. How could anyone, even a god, "make" a universe?

#13. My Philosophical Viewpoints (By C.A. Honey)
This article will be a compilation of various philosophic ideas partially presented in various prior publications, or in my books published over the years and months. Therefore, some of the viewpoints in this particular article will be repeats of the ideas expressed in my writings over the years from 1962 to the year 2001. A certain advantage will exists since the ideas formerly expressed in a variety of publications will be gathered together to form one source of information for those interested in these ideas.
At the same time I want to let everyone know that I didn't just dream up these viewpoints. They are the result of over 50 years of searching and study and many originated from face-to-face physical contacts with those I call my "teachers." No channeling or psychic contacts were ever involved.
