How can giving in to paranoid delusions be of any help at all?

Your paranoid delusion is that anyone can protect you from aliens.

Nope. I don't have the "paranoid delusion" that you falsely accuse me
of having. It's simple logic that *if* there were hostile ET's out to
destroy or enslave the human population *and* capable of interstellar
flight, their technology would be so far advanced that we would have
little or no defense.

Well certainly humans have no defense against technology which is thousands,
if not millions of years beyond ours. It would be silly to think otherwise.
But also remember any species that technologically advanced would have also
resolved conflict within their own society in order not to annihilate
themselves or be annihilated by another hostile species. The alien
technology I've seen and have heard others describe affords them astounding
tactical advantage that the need for them to offensively attack another
race of beings to protect themselves is not necessary, though they certainly
have the capability of obliterating any planet or other species if they
chose. But if they have no reason to, then humans are safe. ;)

It is your paranoid delusion that keeping a saucer hidden will somehow
threaten the world with extinction.

But that's not a problem, the real problem is human beings, who are
by far
more hostile and deadly than any extraterrestrial race.

Quite correct. Some real things (snakes, sharks, viruses, psychotic
killers) can be deadly, but imaginary things (dragons, werewolves,
ET's) can never hurt anyone.

Well the vast majority of people on earth already accept that human beings
are not alone in the Universe, which is a damn good thing, because the US
and China both have extraterrestrial saucers.
