It's no fair that the most strident UFO believers all have severe
mental
problems.
I know what you mean. The ordinary reports of seeing something that
they couldn't identify are from people likely to be sane - but those
stories are dull and somewhat ordinary.
More interesting are the tall tale tellers who like to embroider their
stories with fanciful details. It's sometimes hard to tell if they are
unstable or simply like a good yarn.
The real wild stories with the threatening aliens, probings, and
sexual subtext show clear signs of mental problems.
Darn it, that means the wilder the story the less likely it is to be
true!
Ah, well, reality does tend to be dull...
