BTW, the closest stars are only 4 light years away, not hundreds. The
earth
has been broadcasting for 50+ years. If a planet within 25 light years
had
received an earth transmission, and replied, we would be receiving it's
signal any day now!
Read the rest of the thread. I did say that Alpha Centuri was 4 light years
away. But some stars in our Galaxy are hundreds of light years away. The
most probable star to have life is 40 light years away, Zeta Reticuli.
