Update from The REAL Galactic Federation and The Spiritual Hierarchy
July 13, 2004 1 Ahau, 13 Kumku, 12 Manik
Who the fuck uses this calendar?
This is a truncated version of the Maya calendar. A correct
usage of the long-count calendar would have five number/name
combinations (baktun [20 katuns], katun [20 tuns], tun [18
uinals], uinal [20 kin], kin [1 day]). Ahau is a name for a
specific year in the long count; kumku is a name of a specific
20-day month, and Manik is a name for a specific day.
It looks like the Galactic Federation has usurped the 360-day
Maya calendar to give Western-like year/month/day dates. I'm
surprised that these great minds can't give the full date. This
date is one that recurs in a single baktun, and with some
frequency in the entire long count calendar.
IOW, it's a bit like saying the date is Thursday the 26 of
August. Not very accurate. But it looks cool, and ties in to
the 2012 AD Maya calendar baktun change.
