We are all but insignificant specks of sand on the beaches of the
universe.  There is no God.  No Jesus.  No Chupacabra.  No faeries. No
heaven.  No hell. No aliens. These are all inventions, or if it please
you, placebos man has invented to mask the fact that NOTHING awaits
you after death, and we are ALONE in the universe. We're born, we
live, we die.  We make a mark on history, or we don't.  We reproduce,
or we don't.  We may be sinners, or saints, or do nothings. We become
fervent devotees to religion, or science, or paranormal studies.  It
astounds me that that net surfers spend significant portions of their
time trying to convince people that A. Their belief is true, B. It is
superiour to all other ideologies, and C. Becoming a believer
guarentees happiness in life, and the "afterlife."
Here's what I think about people who have had paranormal and/or
religeous experiences.
They are most likely..
1.  Rednecks looking for their 15 seconds of fame
2.  Displaced intellectual loners who somehow found no other
productive purpose
but to devote themselves to a lost, and questionable cause that will
single themselves out as a "unique" individual
3.  The mentally ill, subject to the disorders and hallucinations that
come with various mental illnesses, but still functional enough to use
the internet.

Thinks: I know, I'll sort this lot out - a good dose of reality will do it. 
Simple!

Problem is that is *your* reality and even that you cannot be sure of. The 
nature of life is uncertainty in everything. You might be living with an 
alien and not be aware of it. What do you know? Nothing! Like the rest of 
us. Given that, it is then IMV about what we each call reality. In my 
reality, I have seen IFOs and know, almost as much as I can know, that 
aliens do exist. Why don't they drop in and say hello in public? Get clear 
on film? I have no idea. They certainly want something and they are 
certainly shy/underhanded about getting or looking for it. I do think, at 
the very least, there is enough 'evidence' to warrant serious and public 
(worldwide) investigation into it. I believe there could be but one 
conclusion.

As an example. I once saw a court-style UK TV programme with scientists for 
and against as questioners of notable people who claimed some experience of 
UFOs, aliens etc. They included a Russian colonel, American astronauts and 
pilots, British MOD official, commercial pilots, etc. After the programme 
they had some 100 000 people phone in their votes. Over 90% of them voted 
that we are being visited.

Now those same people get to vote on courts and pronounce verdicts which 
send people to prison. If their vote is accepted there, why not on this? I 
am not saying the circumstances were as rigorius as a court but they give a 
good indicattion of the way the vote would go and why. There is simply too 
much evidence out there of things very unusual for there not to be some 
reality to it.
