If you're a serious thinker, then there's no choice but to take ETs and
UFOs seriously.
Serious thinkers form their own opinions, regardless whether they take ETs and
UFOs seriously or not.
To say that all the evidence out there, is purely fiction - is foolish,
when there is credible evidence here and there, and everywhere - if you
are willing to look at it.
I am always willing to look at it, so why are you not willing to demonstrate
any?
Most people don't --- for their peace of mind, not to.
How do you know for a fact what people think about UFOs and ETs?
Debunkers/skeptics such as Philip Klass --- are about as looney as those
who'll believe every UFO story - they are at the extreme ends.
It would be looney to expect that the only choice we have is to be in the
middle. That is exactly like saying that people who believe invisible pink
elephants exist are just as looney as those who believe invisible pink elephants
don't exist. The facts and reason say otherwise.
You do have to make up your own mind, and believe what you believe.
No you don't unless you want to be dogmatic abouve everything you believe in.
Upon everything - even what you are taught and is 'accepted' is not
really truth, but only for something in the intermin, to give some sense
of stability.
We don't even know the history of mankind - the complete story.
Why even bother guessing about it then? If you really don't know, then just
admit you don't know and stop making up fairytales about how it "might be like
this".
I believe in commonsense alright, and simple logic or reasonable logic.
And I have to discard the skeptics view - because they'll reach at anything
to explain 'it' away.
If a skeptic has a good point and facts to back it up with, you cannot discard
their view unless you are afraid of the facts yourself.
Sure the train driver saw 'Venus' coming down the tracks, chasing the train,
and the police were being chased by weather balloons - because it was a
clear night, and it was that time of month/year when weather balloons
were to be released, etc etc.
The middle ground here would be to say we don't have enough evidence to prove he
saw anything -- UFO or Venus, therefore it is another useless storytale instead
of the much sougth after real life evidence...or were you going to try and say
that maybe the hypothetical train driver saw an ET piloted vehicle?
