World oil supplies dangerously over-estimated and running out fast
A top Saudi oil industry insider has just admitted that the world oil
supplies have been dangerously underestimated. The latest US
prediction of the amount of oil that will be required in 20 years time
is so much higher than the amount that will be available that Sadad Al
Husseini says there is "more chance" that he will be "living on the
moon" by then. He predicts that supplies are unlikely to meet even as
much as "a tenth" of global demand. Tomorrow industry experts will
formally announce their concerns, but there will also be a concerted
effort to play down the severity of the problem.
Please read the whole article:

But "running out" for whom? There's plenty of oil still untapped
up on the North Slope. It will come on-line eventually. Further, the
main reason for the soaring usage of, and price increases in, oil is
not fat-cat Yankees driving SUVs.( A total crock) The REAL reason
is the enormous increase from the PRC recently. This doesn't mean
their usage figures don't count, just that if I had to predict the
LAST nation to go belly up from oil shortages it would be the USA.
Dont worry, that's why we invaded Iraq:
http://www.thedebate.org
I don't think so, but it can't hurt !
Why did you think we invaded Iraq then? Weapons?
1.?WMDs . Doubtful. It is true that *if* the Prez. really
believed they were there, then he would have to act. That's
why Kerry and others voted their support. But I always thought
it dubious at best. Didn't most thinking people?
2. ?'Cause Saddam tried to kill his Daddy (Bush,Sr.). Well that's
about reason enough if it were MY pop - but not likely considering
how much support needed for such a war.
3.?For the Oil,man. Well, then - where is it? Prices sky high at the
pump. Bush could get elected for life if he shipped all that oil over
here. Hell, I'd vote for .99cent/gal. Think what it'd do for the rest
of the economy. BUT--- It ain't here. Still, only the Naive would
imagine that the deposition of so much oil was not part of the plans.
Call it a "windfall-profit" perhaps, but not the Cause de Guerre.
France and Japan were biggest customers for Iraqi Oil IIRC, and
one has been supportive, whilst the other has been ineffectively
obstructionist. If those countries thought we were gonna get a
stranglehold on their industry they'd be howlin' to the heavens !
No, Ultimately the "War for Oil" argument fails.
4.?Take the Fight to the Enemy(Basically Bush's given reason).
IMHO -Absolutely YES! Kerry correctly pointed out in the 1st Debate
that over 90% of cargo containers and cargo flights are NOT inspected.
And of course Dick Cheny was miles ahead of him. The REAL truth
that no one wants to admit in either camp is that you CAN NOT really
protect this country. 1000's of cargo flights, 10s of 1000's of cargo
containers, 1000's and 1000's of Illeagals pouring over the southern
border. All the time. There's no way to stop it all.
Instead ? Put 135,00+ G.I.'s into the middle east. Can you
imagine it? American WOMEN? Wearing tight t-shirts and pants?
Carrying guns? Ordering Iraqi men around! Pointing guns at Iraqi
men!? Entering Iraqi Mosques to change their secular, infidel tampons
on the toilet seats of the True Believers! Drinking, cursing, watching
MTV, touching each other, Not wearing veils, ETC.,ETC,, ETC.
You get the idea. Al Qaeda is right about one thing: This
Invasion is a massive assault againest Conservative Islam. It
threatens to disrupt all thier plans to return the opulent,
Puppet-Ruled Mid East to it's violent, radical, medieval, expansionist
Roots of 800 years ago. And I really believe that. Al Qaeda is NOT
some Mountain-top sect of Assassins - They have Global Plans -
which is why they also have wealthy Saudi Support.
And THAT's what the war is REALLY about. This invasion has
sucked every Hot-Head for a 1000 miles into Iraq to "defend" againest
the "corrupt infidels". It keeps them so busy that (so far) we've been
able to interdict other attempts to bring the destruction to USA/UK.
It's a very daring, but very dangerous plan. If you're familar with
the CIA term, "blowback", you know what I mean. Will it suceed?
Will The West become victum of it's own devising? Man, if only we
could know. But it will change the world - Ultimately, I believe
Western Civilization's continuation as the dominent force in the
world today will be either supremely victorous or dangerously crippled
by this War. Which will it be?
