Alexa Cameron taught basic geological principles to undergraduates, both in 
Geology and Civil Engineering at the University of Canterbury. Her research 
interests centred on the study of foraminifera - marine microfossils. 
Although now retired from the Department of Geological Sciences, she 
continues to contribute to programmes at the Centre for Continuing 
Education, as she has done for many years.
