An ion is an atom or molecule that is electricallly charged either to an
excess in electrnos either in lacking one or more of them. I think,
theorethically the particles that are separated by electrolysis are also
ions.

It takes minimum 3.2 times the mass of the Sun to form a black hole.

The working of an interferometer is relying on the phenomena that waves
that have been split and brought together again are interfering with each
other and give so-called interference fringes. Those maps, if you can
call them like that, can be used to gain knowledge about the medium the
waves have been travelling through.

The first law of thermodyamics is a very fundamental law of physics
without which every technological progress would have been impossible.
