Apparently it's a fake. Admittedly it is well done. but it's certainly
possible to make extremely convincing UFO videos like that using 3d software
obviously if you work frame by frame and mask out and replace sky areas you
can even make a 3d model appear to go behind things. Which in this case is
perhaps the main giveaway because making the saucer appear from behind the
tower is just so obviously contrived. Actually the UFO isn't particularly
remarkable, what is remarkable is they hired a helicopter, but I dare say it
might have been some existing footage connected to another story such as
rare birds roosting in New York's office blocks.

As fakes go though it is a lot better than this Billy Meier film

appears to be a light weight model (probably made of polystyrene, note how
the breeze buffets it) suspended from a piece of nylon fishing line. The
main giveaway here is the fact that it actually appears to be swinging from
a single point above as if it's attached or hooked onto an electricity pylon
or cable above which are not visible in this film, but are certainly in
evidence in the background. Obviously it's quite dangerous to mess around
with high voltage power cables, but I think that's how it was probably done
because it is so obviously swinging off something above the frame and there
are pylons in the background.

Of course the remarkable and boggling thing about Billy Meier is not the UFO
contacts but the fact that someone will build a whole life and career around
such glaringly obvious deception and fakery, it's quite sad really :(

That said I do believe some UFO films could be genuine and given the size of
the Universe I think there is every possibility that ET are visiting earth.
I think it's a shame that there are so many charlatans and fakers about.
