I don't think there is any doubt there is some kind of "cover-up" on
this issue.

But I think the main fundamental reason behind it is *FEAR of the
UNKNOWN* and fear and terror of the unknown is the only absolute
*certainty*. But it isn't fear of Aliens it's fear of our fellow
human beings that fuels this.

Even if governments don't know one way or the other whether Aliens
exist and have no contact with Aliens. The question of whether
Aliens exist and have superior technology and weaponry remains an
open question and the possibility of their existence remains along
with the possibility that they may share this technology with your
enemy, or seek to interfere within society by giving knowledge and
superior technology to factions within your own country, or to
terrorist groups.

At the end of the day Governments want total control and Aliens like
any other external forces present a threat to this total control.
Aliens could be subversive, and even as an open question are a real
threat and genuine fear. Maybe even more because irrationality and
madness knows no bounds.

It seems obvious to me therefore that Governments have sought to
spread disinformation about Aliens and used the "open question" of
alien existence, contact and interference within our World and the
fear and paranoia that this presents to other world governments, as
a form of *psychological warfare*.

This form of psychological warfare still exists and has nothing to
do with actual alien contact or the lack thereof.

The main purpose of this "cover-up" is therefore *terror* Aliens are
for more useful to World governments as an *open question* than as a
fact one way or another.

It is also clear that if Aliens exist and have contact with World
governments they allow themselves to be controlled and used in this
way. IOW one may assume Aliens (if they exist) respect and support
the World order as it stands and by not interfering or revealing
themselves enmass to the general population allow World governments
and organisation that have power over people to maintain a reign of
fear and irrationality by allowing  the open question of their
existence or non-existance to remain entirely intact.

I think the excuse that aliens allegedly reel off to supposed
contactees in regard to revealing their existence to all inhabitants
of this planet i.e. "we are not ready for it" doesn't really hold
water, because a) it supports the very order that they claim to be
against and b) If you exist as a sentient being you cannot fail to
have an agenda of your own (Aliens are Sinners to)

What this suggests therefore is either the whole alien thing is a
total and complete lie cooked up as a process of propaganda, as a
weapon of psychological warfare by World governments. In which case
organisations such as the Disclosure Project and CSETI are most
likely funded by the CIA in order to spread disinformation, fear and
paranoia (IOW part of the conspiracy)

Or Aliens are just as full of BS as our own politicians LOL

Yes that is a problem and if you go round saying one is an alien they
usually lock one up, unless one has an extra head or something to prove it.
