Yes and that is the difficulty I have with the notion that aliens are in
contact with World governments. On the one hand it is claimed they condemn
things such as Nuclear Weapons and our reliance on fossil fuels, warn us of
imminent disaster if we don't change our ways and yet at the same time
uphold the very system they are said to oppose.

It doesn't take an alien to see the damage that we are causing on this poor
planet of ours, does it?
