Subversives in this NG?

Hi All,

Here's an interesting scenario:

On a daily basis in this newsgroup we are given to believe that the US
government desperately wants to keep from the people the idea that
crop circles have a supernatural origin.

So they force farmers to make tramlines in their fields. They suppress
information regarding the areas in which the circles appear. They get
people to claim that they have made the circles. The mainstream media
and the ruling elite are all part of the plot.

However there is a newsgroup in which individuals discuss the
possibility of the circles being of supernatural origin. The ruling
elite understandably do not like this, someone may get too near the
truth.

So a very clever plan is evolved. A few carefully selected individuals
are approached by a certain government agency and they are encouraged
to join the newsgroup with orders to disrupt discussions. The clever
part is that these subversives are to vociferously CLAIM to believe
the circles are 'genuine' whatever suggestions are made which claim
them to be man-made, or evidence put forward proving them to be
man-made. Their brief is to be as aggressive, intimidating, rude and to
be as
disruptive as possible.

The intention is to cause members of the newsgroup to become fed up
with the bickering and aggressiveness and endless repetition of
expletives and finally leave it.

Ultimately the elite group who put the subversives in hope to destroy
the ng.

After all, they reason, who would think that their pro-circle
activists are really THEIR placemen, hell-bent on achieving the
opposite result?

It would of course be necessary to conceal the identities of these US
activists and so they would need to post using silly pseudonyms rather
than their actual names.

Far-fetched scenario? Think about it for a moment and study replies
to this posting for yourselves!
