As foolish and stubborn as the god-fearing can
be, atheists are, at times, no better. Both are resolute in their
beliefs, despite their ignorance.

No way. Atheists have logic on their side. Show us evidence and it'll
be
looked into.

"Looked into"...what a twit. Just what would that accomplish?

I'm an agnostic, btw. As for logic, it isn't relevant when you don't
have an argument. Correct me if I am wrong but has the "scientific
theory" known as "atheism" proven why we are here? I didn't think so.
That is because it is a belief system based on ignorance -- it offers
nothing by way of explanation.

O, man.. where to start..

Take evolution for instance, it describes how life evolved. It doesn't
say
why. But if you think about it, it actually negates the question, since
it
says it just happens and is *not* steered.

Okay, so evolution, let's say I'm willing to stipulate to all of it as
fact. Natural Selection, man evolved from primates, the fossil record,
geological history, primordial soup, all of it. Fact. Now what? Does
it explain existence, because I think that was the point?

?

Take evolution for instance, it describes how life evolved. It doesn't say
why. But if you think about it, it actually negates the question, since it
says it just happens and is *not* steered. Maybe *planned* is more clear to
you.

How is logic
on your side to explain that? I'm an a-g-n-o-s-t-i-c, sound it out.
You aren't proving to me that a Christian god didn't create the
universe in roughly a week's time -- with a day to spare -- you are
being asked to demonstrate how LOGIC has proven the lack of existence
of a god.

I'm an atheist freethinker. I'm also an a-santa-ist freethinker. I have an
understanding of creation of mythologies. I have no reason whatsoever to
believe in the supernatural. Sounds logical?

I'm not theistically inclined in any way, it is ontology and
epistemology that float my ark, but when you invoke logic as "yours" --
I take offense. It was your statement, not mine. "Logic is on your
side." Now I want you to put up or shut up. I'm certain logic is in
my camp on this one, although I might be willing to let you have some
if you ask nicely.

Where to start? Better get cracking with, say, anything useful at all.
How about a logical Proof of Non-existence for starters....

Same goes for creation of planets, stars, solar systems, galaxies.. This
scientific knowledge has brought me to my position: atheist freethinker.
When new knowledge arrives, I'm totally open to changing my position,
since
that's the way I gained it in the first place.

An "atheist freethinker", how nice for you. Self-applied labels are so
useful when it comes to explaining things. If all the knowledge in the
world is just waiting to inform you, why are you still ignorant?

What am I ignorant of?

It
doesn't seem that all this "receptiveness" to new knowledge is having
much impact. Are you actively seeking it out, or are you just sitting
there like a fish with its mouth open, hoping something will swim too
close?
Does your "scientific knowledge" explain the creation of the
Universe, the Big Bang, perhaps? What exactly does that prove, what do
you "know?"

Ask something less stupid.
