For instance?  What other instances are there that compete with
evolution in <cough-cough> describing how life came to be on
this globe?

I'm an atheist freethinker. I'm also an a-santa-ist freethinker. I have 
an
understanding of creation of mythologies. I have no reason whatsoever to
believe in the supernatural. Sounds logical?

No... sounds confused.   I don't believe in Santa either... can we try
free-thinking about something other than earthly atheism for a while?

I was talking to someone else about a logical stance on supernaturalism. So 
the answer is no.
