It must be noted that mind is a property of the brain, and not a thing
in itself.
Explication of mind needs your "resonance" no more than does the
explication of electric charge!
It is possible that brain is a property of mind. Likewise, dark matter
may also be a property of mind. Things come and go, brains come and
go, but does 'mind' come and go? Certainly not the "I think" of Hegel.
It is possible that brain is a property of mind if, and only if, the
cyclist is a property of cycling, a car is a property of locomotion. I
could provide much cruder examples but I will leave that to your
imagination!
Now explain in simple language how it is possible for a multifunctional
entity (a cyclist) to be subsumed into the single function (cycling).
Do you believe that the part can be greater than the whole?
As to Hegel, me think his think has long since gone!
If individual minds are the property of brains then, perhaps, they come
and go, but then it may be that they are an expression of yet a greater
thing. Can an object exist if not perceived by some mind, in some way?
One of the great questions! "If a tree falls in a forest" . . . and
all of that.
You have never perceived 'mind' in the absense of brain matter! Yet,
in the absence of this perception, you claim mind may exist
independently! How do you reconcile this with ..."If a tree falls in a
forest"... and all of that."?
Dark matter is thought to be inter-dimensional. Little wedgies in the
great scheme of things. Too vast for mind? I think not. Too vast for
a brain -- maybe so.
Where is dark matter? But, then again, where is mind? How big is dark
matter? How big is mind? How much does dark matter weigh? How much
does mind weigh? What color is dark matter? What color is mind?
Where is dark matter at? Where is mind at? Come-on, give me a
specific place.
Do you know the answers to your questios regarding 'dark matter'? Do
you think they are meaningful? If so inform me. Mind is a 'catch all'
word for the neurological functions of the brain so I presume it must
have the same size, weight, color and location as do cycling and all
other functions (including the crude functions I did not describe).
They are a lot alike; both hiding in the interstices. Both revealing
themselves -- only by being necessary.
Presumably, things that are not 'necessary'' remain in hiding?
