This would work if the parent star only had one
planet circling it, but
that's not the case in solar systems, where EACH
planet is codependant on
the other planets to maintain BALANCE in their
orbits.

If one planet starts to wobble it could set off a
chain reaction wherein all
the planets would begin to wobble.

That's EXACTLY what is happening in out solar system!
