Actually the majority of neither votes. Though its true the Left is
trying to regain as many voters as possible as more and more one time
Democrats register as Republicans or Independants. But thats been
going on for years. Reagan was once a Democrat as was Goldwater.
I recall seeing polls that show that Republicans tend to have a larger
percentage turnout and a more consistant turn out.
For example, bad weather favored Republicans, because Democrats wouldn't
go out in bad weather to vote. A lack of issues favored Republicans as
well. Hot issues and good weather favored Democrats. Making voting
easier favors Democrats.
Stop and think about it, a people so lazy that they want to suckle off
Uncle Sam's hairy teat, so lazy they would gladly surrender freedom to
become a kept and taken care of slave of the state; would they make the
effort to vote? Only if someone did it for them!
You and I , and most Americans are refutations of that statement.
Erh? I don't wish to suckle off of Uncle Sam's hairy teat, I am no
socialist. How could I refute by example my claims about socialist if I
am not a socialist?
And that is exactly what we see with the Demorats.
The Dems NEED a captive and caged electorate to keep them in power
and in money.
America went off the deep end in 1787. Its been peaks and valleys
every since. Never boring either.
Huh? How is a new constitution off the deep end? I agree that the new
constitution is flawed, but it does limit the federal government.
The Grand Experiement, America was so unusual for the times as to be
heritical to most nations.
Oh okay.
We needed to fix the flaw in the supreme court and to get people in
government who could actually READ it, but other than that, it was a
pretty good document.
Indeed.
Then we messed with it and made crap out of it.
We are seeing a cyclical swing in politics..and I believe..a cusp
point in history. Far more unsettling than the Industrial Revolution,
or the concept that each man is free.
Swing? Hell, it's been a steady slide to the left and the trash can of
the future. People say we're going conservative, but that's bullshit. We
are far more to the left than we have ever been, including FDR's
socialist agenda.
Not from my point of view. Like a large train..it takes time to throw
on the brakes and come to a stop, then reverse course. Lots of smoke,
sparks and friction, but the direction is changing.
You described that the velocity vector has decreased in magnitude, but
the analogy has not changed the direction of the vector.
The facts are:
In the 1940s, the government engaged in one of it's first socialist
enterprises, Social Security.
Later on in the 1940s, dispite popular disapproval, the United States
entered WW II to save Communism from extermination.
About the 1960s, the people's rights to assemble and associate with whom
they pleased was nullified via a criminal application of the commerce
clause. This has not been repealed.
Shortly after, a fictitious right to kill one's unborn child was
invented, urserping state power to regulate medicine and crime. This has
never been repealed.
The right to keep and bear arms, one of the most clearly defined rights
of the people in the constitution, has been eliminated.
IN our last election, a man known to have belonged to a communst party
affiliated group, VVAW, and to have met with the enemy during a time of
war, a felony, not only has not been prosecuted but ran for president;
and the traitor pulled in almost half of the vote and came within one
state of winning.
Our right to own property was just declared subserviant to the will of
the government, just like in other communist countries.
Now, tell me, how is that moving to the left? You really don't believe
that Bush is a right wing conservative, do you?
1) Bush has pissed on the idea of a federal system of government with
his "no child left behind" act.
2) Bush has appointed two stealth judges to the SCOTUS. All you know
about them is that the left wing APPROVES of them. The surprise is on us.
3) Bush refuses to win the Iraq war by killing the enemy by methods in
accordance with the GC and Hague conventions of war. Instead, he
stupidly exposes our military people to unnecessary risk.
4) Bush REFUSES to defend our boarders, and has invited a flood of
leftist Mexicans into our country.
Moving to the right? No sir. That is a fiction. Don't fall for it.
So its not surprising that things are a bit "interesting". The demise
of the Left, which started with the implosion of the USSR, and
crumbling its way down to the Liberal Ideology.
Leftist idealism is such that they STILL will take the country communist
and try again. To their way of thinking, the wealth produced by a free
society was a distraction to the communist worker, and that communism
can only work when the last capitalist has been shot and burried.
As you may have noticed..the People caught on to that, finally..and
teh Left no longer wins elections because of it. Soon they will be
unable to do anything other than weep.
The left? The Republicans are the left, the Democrats are the communist.
There is no right wing on the ballot.
They haven't given up, they simply plan to get rid of us before they try
again.
as Im sure you are aware..that aint happening. We got the power, we
got the guns, and we got the People. And that last thing is the most
important.
The Democrats are becoming a foot note in history, like the Whigs.
I don't think so.
Our opinons are noted.
The Communist have taken over the Democrat party, this is true enough.
However, what people don't realize is that they are in the Republican
party as well. Bush is a leftist, pure and simple. He was to the right
of the leftist traitor John F. Kerry, but Kerry ALMOST was elected. Bush
is there to slowly advance the communist cause. Kerry would indicate
that we were ready to go communist much more rapidly.
Long journeys start with small steps.
Kerry is the only U.S. Senator to be honored in a communist hall of war
heroes; and for a war that was was fought against US. HELLO! Wake up and
smell the coffee.
We all are aware of Kerry. We are also aware that the People rejected
him.
Barely. Had Bush been a little more to the center, Kerry would have won.
WE got the leftist and not the out and out communist. I find no victory
in that.
What will spring up from the ashes is anyones guess. It cannot be too
extremist, as the major extremists and fringe kooks will have either
killed themselves, or will be killed in the short, fast, bloodily and
horrifying dirty little civil war that they are attempting to cause.
Shrug..no matter.
