When I was a child, I was told if you dug a hole deep enough, you'd

Okay ... this is the truth .... my friends always laughed (and not just
at the intended humor) when we were in a movie theater and a Bugs Bunny
cartoon came on.  It was some unspoken truth they non-verbally agreed
on.  It was personally directed at me.  But they would not tell, not
until years later when I wrestled the truth from one of them that Bugs,
his skinny arms and his pestering humor reminded them of me.  Of course
that is not true.  I am not a pest.  I do not needle my friends with
sharp barbs.  I am not an annoying brat.  They said that they loved me
anyway.
