Interesting point, Mark. Checkmate is not the end to the chiarscuro of
a two dimensional context, but as you obviously know, it is a "sundoor"
through which one transverses to the next plane. I am not being so
conventional as to make reference to death here, I am in fact unfolding
the very elemental truth that DaVinci ala Rene Daumal and Father Sogol
tried to impart ... and why in his own limited way Ugly Bob seemed to
be grasping for significance when he spoke of "Mount Holly." The
"Sundoor" is the holy vehicle to enllightenment. The steps appear
without complexity but each step (for lack of a better word) is
monumental. Firstly, to observe the "Sundoor," secondly, to mount it,
thirdly to maneuver in/through/with/as a result of being it and finally
... well ... that's the mystery. I have no doubt that one still needs
sustenance during this non-event-eventful-none-the-less-or-more and
have been told that Vorlon BBQ is the dish of choice since just as a
Vorlon will appear to ens observer as that observer's own concept ....
so too the BBQ. Often hempsauce is an after thought. And time being
elastic ... well you get what I mean.
And speaking of Mt. Holly and a holy vehicle.........
There are many legends that UFOlogists tell of "aliens" who lived
and had a base in the Kun Lun mountains in Western China, a range of
mountains famous in Taoist legends as a paradise where immortals
resided and travelled to the heavens.
The Chinese poet Chu Yuan (3rd Century B.C.) wrote of his
flight in a "jade chariot" at a high altitude over the Gobi Desert
towards the Kun Lun Mountains. He described in detail how the
aircraft was unaffected by the winds and dust of the Gobi, and how he
conducted an aerial survey.
The lakes found in the parks of "Kun-lun City" are replenished by
legendary waters called "cinnabar". Whoever drinks it becomes immortal.
It is possible Chu Yuan had passed through the Sundoor while being
drunk from the recipe/formula that stretches the elasticity of
time to the breaking point?
