I have seen recent versions of the Ion Craft on the web, a really clever bit of physics. But it doesn't scale, and it only works in air. That's why you can lift very lightweight frames but not real-world weights (like people).

I have my doubts about the magnetic monopoler. 1) Because he is effectively claiming it is a perpetual motion machine, which breaks lots of laws of physics ... enough to make one very suspicious, 2) because although magnetic monopoles are theorised to exist (but still haven't been found) the magnetic field around electrons and circuits etc doesn't originate that way ... you cant get monopole effects from it.
