WHERE...?
can't you edit the image and point to it?
i see only rocks.
The image you found using the URL provided is on the Jet Propulsion
Laboratory web site. So, I cannot alter it in any way -- and neither
can anyone else -- which is why it is such a find.
You have to look closely. No one can be certain with just a photograph
but I will try to point out details based on having observed many of
these pictures.
Look closely at several dark 'rock' looking things close to the rover.
The basic picture will show -- with close observation -- two shades of
dark (not typical of shadows on Mars) with furry looking edges. Don't
assume that Mar's Creatures look like Earth's, they don't. But they do
have fur. It is very cold on Mars.
There are 2 black marks on the edges with black fading into a light
shade near the edge. This is the case with several of these
'creatures' in this photograph. Having used photographic enlargement
combined with brightning the picture, as well as other pictures, I
noticed that the 'creatures' snuggle up close to rocks most of the
time. Using them as a wind break or insulation against the cold.
Animals on Earth tend to camoflage themselves for their environment and
I believe that Mar's Creatures do the same. Their environment is a
black, white, orange one with stark contrasts and black shadows. Their
eyes stand out as light patchs about the same distance apart as Earth's
Creatures. Whether the 'light patches' are due to reflective retinas,
or the color of their iris's, or possibly light fur around their eyes,
is unknown. Some have cat-like appearances, with cat-like ears, while
others don't seem to have visible ears.
Not all black 'rock' looking things are creatures. Mars is loaded with
real black rocks! You have to look very close. Also, check out the
large light colored rock thing near the center of the picture. I have
brightened it using photo software and it contains at least one animal
looking creature. The rock thing is hollow and open like a teepee, of
that I am certain. There appears to be a light colored cat-like
creature inside.
The 'creatures' don't move very much. Some of the pictures are a day
apart showing them as not having moved. This may be due to hibernation
due to the extreme Martian cold. I have seen other black objects,
usually in the distance, with 4 legs underneath them and configurations
suggestive of Earth animals, except these are black in color.
Well, good creature hunting! I believe they are evident, especially in
this photo, but you have to look close and an enlargement is pretty
much necessary to pick up the minute detail required.
P.S. The enlargements I do involve increasing resolution with
interlacing, blowing the picture up to 300%+, and brightening the
picture to remove or diminish shadows. It is amazing the things you
can pick up in the background!
