Yeah, you do have all of the evidence.  Mars is littered with the
remnants of a blow up civilization.

How do we know that? There are some interesting anomalies on Mars but
nothing that has been proven beyond doubt to be artificial as yet.
There's also some hearsay from some extremely dubious sources about
a planet that was blown up in a war and is now the asteroid belt.
But there is no unquestionable solid evidence that any of this is
true. It's fascinating to conjecture about what happened in the
past, but until there is solid evidence that's all it is,
conjecture, and possibly total fantasy.

I have no doubts about our need to try to make sense of things, the fact
that we tend to interpret things from our own limited experience, and human
imagination is almost boundless. I also know people will believe anything
they want to believe, but also that people can be manipulated into believing
things that are totally untrue, people can be lied to basically.

I don't blame people for wanting to believe in fairy stories and there may
an element of truth and fact in some of them and the truth may be more
surprising than we think. But until we have absolute incontrovertible truth
I think it's quite dangerous believing in things on the basis of hearsay and
nothing more than circumstantial evidence.

Because if you can believe things with little if any solid evidence then you
can be manipulated. For example where are Saddam's Weapons of mass
destruction? Well if millions of people can believe some guy rose from the
dead 2 thousand years ago, or could believe in 1930s Germany that all the
evils of the World were the work of the Jews, instead of as some say today
Alien Reptoids LOL, then it is plain people can be made to believe anything,
even in a democracy.
