I am certain that if a race of beings from another planet were truly
concerned about the fate of human kind on this planet, and they knew
we were heading for a real disaster, I believe they would be doing
something effective about it.
Why? The world's super powers and all of the governments have known
for almost 50 years that the human race was headed for extinction and
that our biosphere is nearly destroyed, and would soon be unfit for
life.
They didn't do anything to relieve the problem, and in fact have done
everything in their power to accelerate human extinction.
So, what should a group of ETs step in and fix everything that human
beings REFUSE to change, eh?????????????????????????
Well if in the scheme of things we are no more than a colony of insects, our
destiny is to serve the queen bee. IOW to create a seed which can arise
again from the ashes. From the point of view of our leaders, if this is the
inevitable future of humankind, our destiny in the Universe, the law of
nature. Then there is no point in saving the planet, particularly if our
leaders know our future in the stars is already assured, the time for the
death of this planet will come eventually may as well run it into the ground
it's well past it's prime and ripe for the plucking :)

What we need to do, is to change the leadership of our leaders, such that
they are warmongers no more, the likes of George Bush, and his followers,
like Tony Blair and John Howard. That we don't want carbon copies of these
guys.
That conflict between ourselves has to stop - and misleading the public too.
Religion does this, and our governments. Our political system has to change
too, instead of this popularity contest fiasco.

It would be a whole lot simpler to go to the root problem, which is money.
It's all about money.
