I've just watched 'The True Story of The Philadelphia Experiment'
by The History Channel, which I downloaded off the Internet.
I haven't read everything about this project, but read of it
many many years ago.
Interesting in this program, Al Beliek is interviewed but only
appears very briefly. I don't know why he wasn't questioned fully?
He is the one who has provided more technical information about
this project than any other source.
Anyway, this true account of the events, point towards Carl Allen
being a nutcase of some sort, who wrote the original letter to
M K Jessup, and did all? of the annotations in the 'Annotated Edition
of The Case For The UFO' - and this coupled with testimony from the
crew of the Elridge seems to point the viewer into believing nothing
did happen at all, on that ship.
And so, is the Philadelphia Experiment just a modern myth? In which
the tale got to be so fascinating, that it caught the readers' imagination?
Is Al Beliek a fraud also? Same with Phil Schneider?
