The true believers question evolution but never pause to ask where the
bible comes from. Most of Genesis had antecedents in other cultures.
The text we have dates from 500 to 1000 BCE from multiple sources and
is replete with contradictions and repeated stories. It tells us a lot
more about the human condition than anything else. Holding it up as the
ultimate authority in all matters crosses the line from religion to
superstition. Rock strata is pretty hard to refute.
Consider that every last dog on the planet came from the wolf. Natural
selection and breeding are powerful tools. If you have trouble with
that then don't buy freestone peaches.
