Is Area 51 for real?

Time and time again I see the following questions always posted
somewhere on the Internet by some people, mostly by those who are
curious.   "Is Area 51 for real?"  "Have you ever seen an alien at Area
51"?

Well, once and for all, I would like to give some realistics answers to
these questions here.  Before I answer the questions, let me say that
the topic of Area 51 is one of the most misunderstood and
misinterpreted topics ever, on or off the Internet.   Yes, Area 51 is a
real base.   It's there in Nevada.  There are real people working there
daily.  A few years ago even the government has admitted that the base
is there.  It doesn't use the name Area 51 but it publicly admits that
there is an "operating location near Groom Lake".

Here are a few of the typical questions, and my answers:

Question:  What comes to your mind when Area 51 is mentioned?

Well, first of all, my tax dollars come to my mind. Billions of
hard-working tax dollars have been and are invested in a variety of
defense-related projects at Area 51,  officially admitted by the
government as the "operating location near Groom Lake".  I believe that
the defense-related projects that are conducted there are vital to our
national defense interests and are now conducted according to the
regulations provided in the environmental statutes.   Sure, there was a
time when there were some problems regarding this isuue.  However,
because of the influences of civilian "watchdog groups" and "oversight
organizations", such as the Federation of American Scientists (FAS),  I
believe that those problems were rectified, as can be observed by the
recent close-up satellite images.

There are anywhere from 1800 to 2300 defense contractors employees
working at that complex daily,or weekly, or even monthly in various
shifts.  They include Raytheon, Lockheed, Northrop Grumman, Boeing,
General Atomics, E.G. & G., TRW, etc.

Question:  How old were you when you first heard of Area 51?

I was 44 years old when I first heard of Area 51. (that was in 1988).
A researcher by the name of William Moore had sent me a 10-page report
on Area 51, together with a copy of the early Russian satellite photo
of the base.  That was in 1988 and that was basically the beginning of
my long involvement with Area 51 research. The rest of my involvement
is at:   My connection to Area 51.

Question:  Have you actually seen the Area 51 base?

Yes, I have seen the base a few times from the nearest hills which were
still not closed off to the public until the middle of 1994.  The view
of the sprawling complex from the White Sides and the Freedom Ridge was
magnificent to say the least.  I have also seen the base several times
from the top of the Tikaboo Peak, 24 miles away from the base.  The
last time I saw the base was 3 years ago when I climbed that mountain
again.

Question:  Area 51 has become a household icon.  Is Area 51 really a
secret, mysterious base?

Area 51 has become a household icon for the past decade or so.  It has
become the most well-known "secret" base in the world. However, the
truth is that Area 51 was never established as a secret base.  It was
part of the segment of the public that created this myth unwittingly as
a result of misinformation.  I highly recommend everyone to read the
following article written by an aerospace historian, Pete Merlin:  Area
51 was never a secret, classified base.

Question: Why, then the enigma?

Well,  the enigma is the result of misinformation circulated among a
segment of the public who wanted and those who still want to believe in
enigmas and "mysteries" concerning Area 51.  I am not denying that
there are some "enigmas" and "mysteries" still left in this world, but
as far as Area 51 is concerned, I believe it is the result of
misinformation.

Question:  What kind of "conspiracies" are there relating to Area 51?

The most popular "conspiracy" relating to Area 51 is that the
government is covering up the back-engineering program of a crashed
alien spacecraft which was transported from Wright Patterson Air Force
Base in Ohio, the "flying saucer" which was transported to Ohio from
Roswell, New Mexico,  in 1947.

Another "conspiracy" is that the government is conducting genetic
experiments at Area 51.

Another "conspiracy" is that the government is getting ready to stage a
fake "UFO" contact/landing  to create an artificial threat from outer
space in order to forcefully create a Global Government.  (at one point
in time, I am ashamed to say that I was into this type of theory!!)

Regardless, the Air Force doesnt' mind the public's belief in
"conspiracy theories" concerning Area 51.   In fact, it is definitely
advantageous for the Air Force if a part of the public believes in
"Area 51 conspiracies" or in "UFOs" because it will keep perpetrating
the "laughter curtain" that surrounds Area 51.   Morevoer, "cover
stories", of course, are many times created also by defense contractors
to conceal certain black project programs at certain times at locations
such as this.

Question:  Do you believe in Area 51?   And what goes on there?

Yes, I believe in Area 51.   Area 51 is a vital research, development
and testing location for many leading-edge Air Force related projects,
such as the development of ultra-sonic spy planes, latest radar
technologies, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and unmanned combat
aerial vehicles (UCAVs), and also a variety of new generations of
stealth technologies, all intergrated with avionics and weapons systems
integration with avionics.

Question:  Have you seen an alien at Area 51?

I have never seen an alien, i.e., an extraterrestrial biological entity
, although I would definitely like to see one.

Question:  Have you ever been abducted?

By whom?   I have never been abducted and I hope never to be abducted
by anyone.   LOL

Well, folks, I hope I made my answers clear.
