Consider your family, friends, and long-time colleagues. You
know these people; how do would you expect they would respond if
given such an assignment?


Now consider the "tens of thousands of people" you are accusing:
soldiers wearing the uniform, who put their lives on the line to
defend their country; civilians in the intelligence services,
who devote their professional lives to national security,
typically for salaries lower than offered by private industry;
demolition professionals, who have studied for years and decades
how to take down buildings safely -- with no harm to life, limb,
or property.


Why do you think that you are so much better than these people?

And it's not like they fooled anyone, except themselves.

The real question is: who fooled you? The attack was clever:
a small team with simple weapons leveraging the all-important
element of surprise. Clever as they were, no, it was not them
who fooled you.

Nor did the conspiracy-theory crowd. They've been bleating
essentially the same nonsense for as long as history can recall.
People don't join them based on investigation; people join them
out of psychological pathology. It wasn't them that fooled you.
