I wonder why there is not ONE single link TO SETI,
as in an official announcement.

Well I dare say SETI would become redundant in it's current form if they
actually succeeded in getting conclusive results. It's role would change to
one of cataloguing such signals and mapping the position of different
civilisations rather than actually finding evidence. But that role could be
carried out by a variety of different bodies.

I would have thought in terms of maintaining funding and keeping the SETI
project running as a succinct entity it would be best to withhold conclusive
evidence. But anyone who has ever been involved with the SETI@home projects
would be aware there must have been thousands and thousands of signals
identified as possible positive sources. That doesn't of course mean that
any of those possible sources have been conclusively confirmed. But one
can't rule that out, confirmation would entail collating all the data
together and the public don't have open access to all Seti's data or
conclusions. Only what they choose to present to the public through the
press and media.

So there are political motives not to be totally open about the results and
there is an apparatus in place designed to limit access to the truth. So
there are both possible motivations and scope for a cover-up to exist.
Doesn't prove there is a cover-up of course, but you can't rule out that
possibility when none of circumstantial evidence available, actually
eliminates that agenda as a possibility.
