I have been a member of SETI@Home since 1999, have accumulated 10,737.5
credits, which translates into 32,638 CPU time hours (about 3.7 years).

I logged onto the SETI site, hoping to verify the above rumor, but, alas,
nary a mention was made of any contact, signal, even non-repetitive signal
of any magnitude or artificial composition or alien origin.  So, it looks
like we have ... nothing.

Even if it was a true event at SETI.

I wonder how a story like that on the TV news would play out.

For example a kind friendy, learned English, Chupacabra ...
