No it is because any proof of alien life would mean that men are mortal and 
doomed to die, a knowlege that is so dreadful that men will kill, destroy 
and lie maim and destroy minds to prevent such knowlege being found.

In my case it just had not occured to me.

I am now am in fear of my extiction by death.
