If you accept that you are living, then death and dying is
inevitable.

What if you had the means to immortality? The means to transfer the
entire contents of your mind into another body, a new young body.
And
the ability to do that over and over again for as long as you like.

How much could you learn. Would your brain evolve to a greater
functioning with the increased knowledge?

Rhetorical questions.

Yeah, well I go with the reincarnation story of events.
That everyone does do this - survive death and dying, that it is a
natural process for spirit to spend time in the afterlife, and then
to be reborn again.
That there is a part of you, that benefits from each life lived.
Call it your soul.

Specifically what is 'soul'? The rubber on the bottom of your shoe?

What is a spirit?

Food for thought

Sound very much like you've created a religion based on a myth.

Where were you before you were born?

It is up to yourself to do your own research, reading and
thinking, as to what is the most plausible and logical
answer to your own question.
I've done my own 30 years of research into this - most
religions don't give you the truth, but only their own
set of dogma and rhetoric.

The above reference material, I mentioned, is worthwhile
to read through - I agree with most of it.
