The good thing about sending kids into space is they don't take up too much 
of it.
You don't have to use so much soap to wash them.
You don't have to use so much fabric to clothe them.
You don't have to use so much food to feed them.
It makes sense to send kids into space because they weigh less so you can 
send more of them.
Efficient little critters.
The craft could be controlled from Earth, but there would be one of those 
big steering wheels that spins in the cockpit so they could play Buzz 
Lightyear.
