What are the fire dept etc. going to do if ET gets onto the Web and
the elected president (elected by the media) simply lets them in?

AI on the Web is ET's most potent weapon. If is exists there will be
absolutely nothing anyone can do.

Remember always - the pen is mighier than the sword. These days we may
say that keyboards are mightier than any bomb. Think of the power as
true AI pen would have. When I wrote my profile I was asked for some
motto or other. I could not think of anything appropriate in alll
circumstances. As far as ET and UFOs are concerned I think "?Puerde
leer en espagnol?" probably comes closest. Can you see why? ET/AI can
post on its own. It does not need you. In an AI setting all languages
are equivalent. Indeed one of the tests for the presence of a good AI
is the ability to translate. If I were to say "La estacion de resorte"
you would probably be able to guess the English translation. Anything
with ANY understanding would get "primavera".

Is it possible to traverse light years without AI? I believe not.

I think that everyone, Pentagon, fire chiefs etc. should be aware of
this.
