I have a question for any UFO skeptics that may be here. What is the
rationale for considering UFOs an "extraordinary claim" for which the
probability of being true is so nearly zero that it's best not to do
any serious and deep scientific investigations, anyway? Is it because
the supposed lack of evidence? If so, then why believe in, say, string
theory, which by the way has absolutely NO evidence (or at best, very
little) to directly prove that it actually is true, unlike general
relativity and quantum mechanics (which it purports to unify)? Why is
that considered a more "likely" or "reasonable" avenue of inquiry as
opposed to UFOs despite the fact that there is very little if any
direct evidence to substantiate it?

Mike I am not a UFO skeptic and I will try to give a different aspect of the
war against UFOs or existance of life in other solar systems and/or
galaxies. Most UFO skeptics come from the USA and I strongly believe that
they are controlled from fanatic christian evangelists (or other kinds of)
who don't believe in the theory of evolution and believe that an unknown
invisible God designed the humans according to his image and that all of the
universe was created for us the humans. I once saw a documentary in which a
unsiversity scientist (you know, the ones that are been payed to be parrots
and using their high position in the hierarchy to repeat what their sick
goverments want to pass to the public) was telling that the probability for
intelligent life out of Earth is so much zero. I think he is probably a
fanatic christian, jew or muslim, repeating once again the moto "One God,One
Race". It's not random that these 3 religions compete each other in the
domain of world (meaning our little Earth) domination. I think that the only
zero probability is that these people have brain activity.
