I am not part of the seti program, my computer is not spending any cpu 
cycles on it.

Up until now I thought it would be bad for my computer... and maybe it is 
bad... it puts extra strain on the computer.

However I'll add a good reason to "determine if aliens exist".

If aliens do exist, and if aliens are near us, it's better that we first 
learn about their existence and maybe find them, before they learn about our 
existence and find us.

So that we can prepare for any possible war.

I only need to look at myself and my utter disrespect for other life.

I kill tiny little helpless spiders, just because I find them scarey.

Some people might even be killed by tiny little spiders.

I always wonder how it would be to be a spider.

Are they concious ?

Do they want to communicate with us ?

Some spiders freeze and don't move before they get smashed.

Some spiders run away.

Some spiders seem to shake in horror just before they are slammed to pieces.

I know spiders can see the difference between light and darkness.

Some spiders are smart and hide their whole life until they are accidently 
discovered...

Are some spiders cuicidal ? do they have enough of life to get killed ?

Do they expose them selfes on purpose to get killed ?

Or are they seeking out contact with other life as well ? :)

It would be kinda sad if spiders do try to make contact with us... and in 
return we smash them to pieces...

How will our reaction be towards disgusting aliens if they try to make 
contact with us or vice versa ?

Bleh yikes.
