in the USA a HUGE portion of the population , the boomers
( nearly 400 out of every 1000 people )   are   turning to
retirement age.

I've got news for you ( being a boomer myself ).  we don't give a
crap about  the " theoretical '  coming end of humanity.
we don't care ( anymore ) about the ozone, oil running out, aliens
coming  , or any of that crap.  truth ( for us ) is that the REAL end
is just up ahead ..... it's in sight and  that's a FACT.  
absolutely NOTHING remains that any of " US " can do that will 
help or harm the environment and time has nearly run out to wait for
Jesus to come or the aliens to save us as well. we've waited 62 +
years and realize , from experience ,  that none of this crap is going
to happen  for any of us in the short time we have remaining.

go ahead running around screaming the sky is falling or the aliens
are coming etc ......... for a large block of the population those
ideas and  possibilities are laughable and totally irrelevant
to boot.   we simply just don't give a s$#% ..... the REAL
end will  get us before any of this is possible.
