I was once fishing near Sarina at an island called Prudhoe.
An old fella will us threw his plastic plates into the ocean.
And we were surprised by his actions.
Then a mate just dived into the water and grabbed the plates.
He got back in the boat.
Then we saw a small killer whale swim past.
What...???
What was the point of why the sailor jumped into the water after the
dinner plate...?
Then: While it may sound crazy, there has never been a recorded case
of a Killer Whale attacking a human. There was recently a case at an
aquarium in California ( i think ) where a killer whale grabbed a
trainer and held him under water... But that entire situation was so
contrived, and the whale may well have been driven insane from
captivity... But in the wild, for whatever reasons, they just don't
attack people.
There is/was beautiful clear ocean water around that island. The thick
plastic plate being dumped in there was not good. So my mate decided
to swim down and get it. The small killer whale might have thought the
movement was a big fish.
