Saving Private Ryan D-Day scene (1/4)

You know, when I see that beginning scene, I think
about all those men....All that training, all that gear.

Yeah, I thought that once.

But also realized
the allies got up the hill in the end.
And the one's that died
get whatever they want
in their after-life mind.
 (with friends)

Then, the doors open and WHAM!

For some of them.

Yeah, it's an amazing Movie/Reality.

To be honest,
I could watch that scene over and over for years.
For many reasons.

There is so much involved in it ...
A couple of examples of trillions of examples ...

1.
Thinking about the men's earlier years with their mommy.

2.
Thinking about who made the clothing and bullets.

3.
Thinking about the waves on the beach.

4.
Thinking about the people making money from it all and what they were
planning and doing at the same time.

5.
Thinking about the Foo Fighters watching.

6.
Thinking about the stars at night.

7.
Thinking about the degrees of hate and sorryness.

8.
I could go on for years with thoughts about it.

9.
But I have another post to make in a minute.
Titled ... "I Had A Very Interesting Old Dream Last Night"

All that's gone.

The worst part? Most French students believe it
never happened.... Remarkable.

French New-Borne folks on drugs and wine and cartoons.

Those who fail to learn the lessons of history
are doomed to repeat it.

I had bad luck with French people in my life.
I never met one I liked.
I must admit, I haven't met as many French
as I have Japanese.

I was lucky with Japanese folks.
Not just the Japanese ladies,
I met some nice clever kind Japanese dudes too.
 (Funny people also)

I used to have an apartment in Auckland
with 3-4 Japanese flat-mates
for 7 years. (changing every now and then)
And I did the same in Queenstown
and other towns.

Many Chinese I met were very different.
 (not a great experience)
I suppose it's the level of Education.
